Xav Clarke
Green Note Ltd, The Basement Bar, NW1 7AN , [Venue Details]Xav Clarke launches his new album.
An indie-rock artist blurring the lines between homespun philosophical lyric writing and wonked-out cinematic fuzzy soundscapes informed by his award-winning composition work for animation and film; expect ‘whimsical, wobbly dreamscapes—transforming scrapped cartoons, warped tape hiss, and off-kilter spontaneity into music where imperfection feels alive. ’ Line Of Best Fit
2025 saw the release of Xav’s last album ‘Fossil Forest’ released independently on his Jurassic Kid Records (produced by Mike Lindsay of Tunng/LUMP) and published by Warp Records. The record and lead single ‘Bluebells’ was often heard on BBC 6 by Cerys Matthews etc, with a live session for BBC Introducing accompanied by a 2 week UK/EU tour.
2026 sees a follow up album of lo-fi rock firecrackers and hits of sundazed longing, starting with the release of a new single ‘DVD Region 3’ from Xav in the spring, accompanied by an EU tour.
